How do Hollbras HBV vertical leaf filters work?
Vertical leaf filters consist of several filtration leaves positioned in a vertical vessel operating under pressure. The process begins with the formation of a pre-coat. This pre-coat can be made up of the solid to be filtered or filter aids. The material to be filtered is then pumped into the filter under pressure, forcing it through the filtration leaves lined with their pre-coats. During this process, the solid particles are retained while the filtrate flows into the leaves, passing through the collecting tube and being directed to a filtrate tank. The process ends when the filter reaches its maximum solids limit. At this point, the filter is drained, and the retained solids are dried for dry discharge by vibration or washed when the option is wet discharge.
